In June 2013 Lillian joined the Geophysical Institute as the executive officer. She supervises and oversees the GI Human Resources office, assists the director with HR issues, coordinates with the Provost's Office regarding faculty promotion/tenure and faculty CBA requirements, and special projects. Prior to coming to the GI she was the assistant registrar for graduation and curriculum in the UAF Office of Admissions and the Registrar. She’s worked at UAF since 1999; other positions she’s held include academic advisor in the Academic Advising Center, coordinator for the Graduate School, admissions counselor/recruiter in the Office of Admissions and adjunct faculty in the University of Alaska Military Programs. Lillian was born and raised in Fairbanks and her family has been in Alaska since 1898. She has a bachelor’s degree in Art History from Western Washington University and a Master’s degree in Northern Studies from UAF.
